Virtuous Circle
A Virtuous Circle has been defined as “a condition in which a favorable circumstance or result gives rise to another that subsequently supports the first.” Recently, the Elliott Endowment has focused on how its grants help one individual or program, but go on to have an effect on other projects, and the community at large.
Successful businesses give rise to a healthy nonprofit sector. Without profitable, vibrant businesses, the community’s nonprofit sector would be seriously undermined, and a virtuous circle would be diminished. Elliott Endowment believes strongly that the dynamics of the business sector have significant effects on whether there is a virtuous circle of community. The success of local enterprise is crucial for a lively and growing community.
Elliott Endowment believes in education, and helping those achieve their dreams through lifetime learning opportunities.
Elliott Endowment places special consideration on projects involving education, and those individuals and groups supporting the hearing impaired community as one of the Founding Members of the endowment is profoundly deaf.
